Liebherr announces Hoffman Equipment as new dealer

Liebherr Construction Equipment Co., Newport News, Virginia, has expanded its distribution footprint and announced its new partnership with Hoffman Equipment, Piscataway, New Jersey.

Hoffman Equipment has accepted dealer sales and service responsibility for the full line of Liebherr earthmoving and material handling equipment. Liebherr customers in New Jersey, New York and Delaware will be served by Hoffman. The company’s corporate office located in Piscataway, New Jersey, and its additional location in Williamstown, New Jersey, will provide sales and service to Liebherr customers in these areas and New York customers will be serviced from their locations in the Bronx, Marlboro, and Medford, according to the company.

Hoffman has been in business for more than 93 years, starting as a trucking company, evolving into a specialized heavy-haul and rigging company, eventually becoming heavily involved in crane rentals and finally establishing an Associated Equipment Dealers (AED) dealership in 1968. Hoffman has consistently been recognized by its manufacturers and customers as one of the top machinery dealerships in New York and New Jersey, the company says.

Kevin Murphy, Liebherr regional business manager, will work with Hoffman to help the company introduce the Liebherr line to its customer base.

Liebherr’s product range covers earthmoving and material handling machinery, mining equipment, mobile cranes, construction cranes, mixing technology, domestic appliances, maritime cranes, aerospace and transportation systems, machine tools and automation systems as well as high-performance components for mechanical, hydraulic and electrical drive and control technology. The group’s holding company is Liebherr-International AG in Bulle, Switzerland, which is entirely owned by members of the Liebherr family.
