Wellford, South Carolina-based Leigh Fibers says it has named Harlow Frederick Dodge as the chief operating officer of both Leigh Fibers and its ICE Recycling subsidiary.
Dodge joins the Leigh family of companies after working with Fortune 500 companies in the building products, paper, chemical, mining and textile industries, as well as small private equity groups, according to a Leigh Fibers news release.
“We are delighted to have someone of Harlow’s capability join the Leigh family in support of our continued efforts to enhance our leadership team and our long-term vision of sustainable growth,” says Leigh Fibers President Don Bockoven.
During the last two decades, Dodge has been employed by Georgia Pacific Corp., rising through the company’s ranks to become to executive vice president of the gypsum division, which has 28 locations in the United States and Canada.
Leigh Fibers has manufactured, traded and reprocessed fibers and polymers globally for nearly 100 years. The company says since it was founded it has diverted more than 7 million tons of textile waste and byproducts from landfills and is currently active in 25 countries around the world.
Its ICE Recycling subsidiary, based in Lake City, South Carolina, was founded in 2008 and reprocesses postindustrial polymers, cardboard, paper and metals. The company provides on-site waste stream management as well as off-site reprocessing services.
