The Swedish firm Skanska has reportedly received contracts for two separate major projects, one to build a new sewer overflow plant in Atlanta, and the other to upgrade a water pollution control plant in Brooklyn, N.Y.
According to information on the company’s Web site, www.skanska.com, the project in west Atlanta will involve extensive installations of process equipment, piping and electrical and water flow systems. Additionally, large-scale civil engineering work for the $47 million project will include building basins and landscaping work.
Work on the project is expected to begin this month and is scheduled to be completed toward the end of 2007.
