Aggregate Machinery Inc. sold a large portable asphalt and concrete crushing plant to Raisch Products, a California-based company that specializes in road construction. While focusing on construction, the company also has begun spending more time and energy on the demolition side of the business.
The equipment, which weighs more than 150,000 pounds, will be able to handle between 500-800 tons of concrete and asphalt an hour when it is operational. The trailers on two of the chassis’ will recycle 32 truck tires and wheels.
Roger Jensen, with Aggregates, says that Raisch hopes to have the recycling plant up and operational soon after the July4th holiday.
Jensen says that that new portable plant will significantly reduce the set up time that the company typically had with its other crushing equipment. Whereas the other recycling equipment may take several days to set up before being able to operate, the new portable system can be set up in one day.
Raisch has a total of three sites in California, and the plan is the move the portable crusher to all three sites.
According to published reports the cost of the recycling plant is more than $4 million.
