Former Terex executive Constantino Lannes has been named president of Sennebogen LLC, Charlotte, N.C., the North American affiliate of German material handling equipment maker Sennebogen GmbH. He replaces Richard Centner, who has retired from the company.
Sennebogen managing director Erich Sennebogen Jr. says Lannes will bring helpful skills to the North American operation. “With the retirement of Richard Centner from the organization, we were looking for a skilled individual to grow our distributor network and increase our North American market penetration,” says Sennebogen. “Mr. Lannes brings these skills to the table. He established a worldwide presence for another company as well as building an effective North American dealer network. We are looking forward to utilizing his expertise for Sennebogen LLC and our distributor network.”
Lannes says he is confident the Sennebogen line of hydraulic material handling equipment can gain market share in North America. “If I did not believe in the product, I would not have accepted the position,” he comments. “I believe these products are well positioned in the marketplace and that the market has seen and learned a lot about the ‘lean green machines’ from Sennebogen.”
The former Terex vice president of material handling equipment says he will put a focus on keeping distributors involved with the product line. “Promoting and developing an open line of communication between Sennebogen employees and our distributor contacts about all aspects of doing business in the world’s largest single market will be the key to the ongoing market penetration,” says Lannes. “By knowing what their needs are, we can assist them in their marketing efforts and build market share.”
