Labrie Announces New Patent

Truck manufacturer claims new truck will boost collection levels; reduce costs.

Labrie Equipment Ltd. has been awarded a US patent for its automated bi-compartment truck. This unit is equipped with a chute system allowing the collection of two different materials at the same time.

 

The patent was awarded for a system of mobile deflecting plates that allow the operator to unload two kinds of waste material into two separated compartments. The automated bi-compartment truck equipped with the new system needs only one stop to collect two materials from either two different roll-carts or one bi-compartment roll-cart.

 

Other advantages of this innovation include a lower risk of injury for operators, a lower level of sound pollution during collection and a higher quality of recovered recyclables resulting in less operation costs.
