Kruger Inc.’s Place Turcot Containerboard mill obtained ISO 14001 certification. The certification follows more than one year of work at the mill to achieve the final implementation of its environmental management system.
“Our mill is one of the largest recycling mills in Canada and was a forerunner in this sector of activity,” said Denis Lafrenière, manager of the Place Turcot mill. “Since 1961, way before anyone showed an interest in recycling and using recycled pulp in the manufacturing process, this ecological facility specialized in the production of various categories of 100% recycled linerboard, especially white top and brown grades.” he added.
Place Turcot’s range of products include linerboard for the boxboard industry, core stock and other specialties.
