Komatsu America Corp., Vernon Hills, Ill., has been awarded three equipment contracts¾totaling $21.5 million¾by the U.S. government, according to a release from Komatsu.
The U.S. government has purchased 16 D155AX-5 dozers, 32 PC300LC-7 excavators and 10 SK815-5 skid steers that will be manufactured in the United States and Japan.
“We’re proud to work with the U.S. government to provide the tools and resources necessary to complete a variety of tasks both here and abroad,” says Dave Grzelak, president and CEO of Komatsu America Corp.
It is not immediately known where these machines will be put to work, according to the release.
