Kinshofer Acquires RF System

Company expects the acquisition to strengthen its business in the Scandinavian market.

Kinshofer GmbH, based in Germany, has acquired 100 percent of the shares of the Swedish company RF System AB.

According to the company, the acquisition of RF System should benefit Kinshofer in two ways: It adds new product segments such as railroad maintenance tools and quick couplers and buckets to Kinshofer’s offerings; and it opens a distribution channel for Kinshofer’s attachments such as Tiltrotators and tools for the demolition and scrap processing industry in Scandinavia, especially Sweden.

Thomas Friedrich, Kinshofer’s managing director of Kinshofer, says, “Kinshofer continues its strategy to provide the industry with a one-stop-shop solution of outstandingly engineered products to increase efficiency and, more importantly, profitability of its customers.”

Bo Andersson and Marcus Olofsson, RF System’s founder and managing director, respectively, say, that the concentration of knowledge and competence will form a powerful center for future developments, including more innovations.

Kinshofer has been manufacturing attachments for truck-mounted cranes and excavators for more than 40 years. The company’s products have targeted businesses in the crane and excavator markets. To strengthen this segment, Kinshofer has made a number of strategic acquisitions, including the purchase of the Dutch company Demarec B.V. and Aponox, based in Finland.

Kinshofer operates subsidiaries in Germany, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Austria, the Czech Republic, China and Finland.
