Detroit-based Kimmel Scrap Iron & Metal Co. has announced changes to the company’s leadership.
Robert Kimmel has been named president and CEO of Kimmel Scrap Iron & Metal Co. following the death of his father, Morris Kimmel.
Prior to his promotion, Robert, who joined the company in 1978, served as vice president of the family-owned business.
Ken Schutt also has joined the company as chief operating officer. He has more than 10 years of experience with other metals management companies.
Kimmel Scrap Iron & Metal was established in 1950. The company handles both ferrous and nonferrous metals.
