The Kentucky Division of Waste Management’s Kentucky Recycling and Marketing Assistance Program is conducting an “e-scrap” workshop at Barren River State Resort Park in Barren County Nov. 9.
Attendees will receive information on recycling and managing end-of-life electronic equipment such as computers or other devices with electronic circuit boards. The session is open to individuals but is primarily geared toward school systems, local governments and businesses that use electronic devices.
Topics will include:
- Hazardous waste issues;
- Reuse and recycling options;
- Green purchasing;
- Recycler qualifications; and
- Holding a collection event.
