Keith Manufacturing Co., a Madras, Oregan-based material handling solutions company, has announced RX Technology, the latest evolution of its Walking Floor technology.

The company says RX Technology provides thermal protection, integrating electric heat sensors and temperature switches to prevent overheating. It has a redesigned switching valve, which doesn’t require adjustments in order to simplify operation and reduce time spent on maintenance.

Keith Manufacturing has produced the Walking Floor brand of horizontal, moving floor unloading systems since 1973. The conveyors are used in a variety of industries to handle bulk materials.

RX Technology’s oil pressure filter, rated for up to 60 gallons per minute, ensures a cleaner system, which the company says leads to less contamination, smoother performance and system longevity.

Keith Manufacturing says the system controls feature both automatic and intuitive electronic controls, as well as optional manual controls to ensure ease of use, adaptability and efficient unloading of mixed recyclables, municipal waste, scrap, compost or sorted commodities.

The company says the system allows operators to gain complete control with flexible hydraulic oil flow from slow unloading to rapid discharge. Features like the automatic switching valve and electric controls promote hands-off operation, and the simplified filter design makes maintenance quicker, troubleshooting easier and lowers total service costs.

Each element of RX Technology is proven through in-house and field validation, according to Keith Manufacturing. RX Technology is currently patent pending and aims to keep waste and recycling facilities moving confidently into the future.
