Karl W. Schmidt, a Commerce City, CO, designer and manufacturer of machinery and systems for the recycling and solid waste industries, is introducing its Automatic Debaling System.
This system is designed to “de-densify” and meter baled materials with or without size reduction as required by a customer’s application.
Through debaling prior to further processing, users can reduce manpower and increase throughput over manual separation.
The five shafts, with specialized separation discs, can be configured in a wide variety of settings to accomplish different material outputs for uses such as reducing bulk feeding of bales to pulpers or shredders, allowing inspection of material for tramp metals and other contaminants, and provide a more constant stream of material.
The base system includes an in-feed conveyor, the automatic debaler, the take-away conveyor, and all necessary chutes, hoppers, and transitions. Karl Schmidt also offers options for users to customize and adapt a particular system to the application.
