Kadant Black Clawson Inc., a subsidiary of Kadant Inc., received a contract from Fabrica de Papel San Francisco S.A. de C.V., in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, for a new deinking line to be added to their existing de-inking system. The contract, valued at more than $2 million, is comprised of Kadant Black Clawson’s latest pulping technology; a ScreenONE screening system; cleaning and washing equipment; and a MAC flotation cell, which will replace the mill’s existing flotation technology.
The new deinking line is being added because of Fabrica de Papel’s need to increase deinked pulp production to feed a new tissue machine that was recently purchased. The new equipment will process mixed office waste for the mill’s production of tissue.
