
In the first order, Kadant received a contract from Fabrica de Papel San Francisco S.A. de C.V. to supply the company’s Mexicali, Mexico mill with equipment that will provide effluent treatment and sludge dewatering for a deinking line that the company purchased from Kadant Black Clawson last year. The contract is for more than $2 million. The mill is scheduled to start up this summer. When fully operational the mill will be able to take in mixed office paper to produce tissue products. With the addition of the new equipment, production is expected to reach 250 tons per day of finished product.
The second order the company announced is for an advanced stock preparation system for recovering usable fiber from old corrugated containers at Zhejiang Jingzing Paper Joint Stock Co., Ltd., a Chinese paper company. a . The order is the largest ever received by Kadant Black Clawson. This new system – which is the largest order ever received by Kadant Black Clawson – will expand production capacity of linerboard at the Zhejiang Jingxing Paper mill.
