K-C Unit Set to Open Plant

 The Colombian unit of Kimberly-Clark Co. expects its recently constructed toilet paper plant to start by the end of this year.

K-C said the plant would export about 60 to 70 percent of its production, mainly to neighboring South American nations.

The company's Colombian subsidiary, Colombiana Kimberly Colpapel, is 31.1 percent owned by local cigarette maker Coltabaco , which is part of Colombian industrial conglomerate Sindicato Antioqueno.
