Kimberly-Clark Corp. announced plans to close its East Ryegate, Vt., technical paper manufacturing facility by the end of the year, following a thorough review of the technical paper business in North America. The company will consolidate its technical paper operations at its Munising, Mich. mill.
The East Ryegate mill manufactures a variety of specialty paper products for technical, industrial and commercial use. These specialty paper products include retail packaging, medical packaging, premask, tape and envelope, component and abrasive grade papers.
The company will transfer some of the manufacturing equipment to its Munising mill.
