Johnsonite has launched Restart, a materials reclamation program. As part of the new program, Johnsonite will retrieve its used materials and then recycle or repurpose the material into a new product. Restart initially will launch with the reclamation of replace, demountable wall base and track. The vision is the eventual reclamation of rubber tile and treads.
“At Johnsonite, we feel Restart is a new and exciting step in our efforts to provide flooring solutions that contribute to productivity through the enhanced safety and efficiency of a space,” Jeff Krejsa, director of marketing services for Johnsonite, said. “Sustainable, cradle-to-cradle solutions are vital to balance concern for environmental quality and social responsibility with concern for your people, customers, business performance and economic success. We expect the program to grow as we continue to incorporate emerging recycling and production technologies in developing continued sustainable solutions,” Krejsa said.
