Les Joffe has been added to the staff of scrap recycling firm I. H. Schlezinger Co. of Columbus, Ohio.
Joffe was most recently employed for 18 years with Marion Steel Co., Marion, Ohio, as the general manager of the company’s scrap division. Marion Steel was recently purchased by Nucor Corp., Charlotte, N.C.
Prior to being with Marion Steel, Joffe worked with other scrap brokerage firms. “Les brings a wealth of knowledge with him to this integrated yard, both on the local level and the national scene,” states a news release announcing his hiring.
The I. H. Schlezinger Co. facility is a joint venture co-owned by officers of Cohen Brothers Inc., Middletown, Ohio, and officers from Muskingum Iron & Metal in Zanesville, Ohio.
