Jeffrey Specialty Equipment Corp., Woodruff, S.C., has introduced an updated version of its WBH line of horizontal wood hogs.
Designed to handle wood, construction and demolition debris, land clearing debris, pallets and engineered panel scrap, Jeffrey has updated its horizontal wood and bark hogs with new mechanical and electrical features.
The updated machine incorporates a large drag chain in-feed conveyor with pusher attachments (other feed systems are available) along with a pivoted roll with variable speed and pressure. According to Jeffrey, both features ensure that there is constant, positive feeding of material into the shredding zone at all times. The machine has also been updated with a PLC (programmable logic controllers) to provide accurate control of the machine’s feedback loops as well as the primary machine functions.
Jeffrey wood and bark hogs are available with a heavy-duty, disc-type standard rotor for difficult applications. Hammers are offered in several designs, including the Jeffrey-exclusive UltraAlloy hammer for extended life. Additional product features include alloy-steel liners that are drilled and tapped for easy maintenance and Slant-Flow screen grates for long life and optimum capacity in high-wear applications, according to the company.
Jeffrey manufactures a complete line of wood and bark hogs, vibrating equipment, crushers, solid waste shredders and Chip-sizer machines.
