Javelin Manufacturing, based in Fort Wayne, Ind., has introduced an eddy-current separator designed initially for the material recovery facility (MRF) market.
Javelin asserts in a press release that its customers “have experienced recovery rate increases that have added tens of thousands of dollars to their income in a year’s time, in today’s commodity markets.”
Javelin units are designed for ease of maintenance, featuring easy-access lubrication points, easy guard removal, a mechanical belt tensioning system and one-piece belt changes. Options include two- or three-split splitter box, vibratory feeders, controls and more, depending upon the application.
The Javelin line will include the specialized UBC (used beverage container) eddy currents as well as “higher performance” units suitable for capturing smaller nonferrous particles, according to the company. These units are suitable for glass cleanup systems as well as for electronic scrap recovery.
Operating costs for Javelin units are low because of the design characteristics that enhance serviceability, according to the company.
Javelin Manufacturing is a consortium of firms with manufacturing, service and installation, sales and engineering services for the recycling industry.
