LinkedIn has selected Jason Schenker of Austin, Texas-based Prestige Economics as a “Top Voice” contributing to its platform.

Schenker, who closely monitors metallic commodities in his role at Prestige Economics, has been a frequent panelist and speaker at conferences organized by the Washington-based Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) and was a presenter at the 2018 Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) World Recycling Convention in Barcelona in 2018.

“I am honored to be recognized and named an official LinkedIn Top Voice,” Schenker says. “It is a pleasure to share my insights with more than 1.1 million learners who have taken my LinkedIn Learning courses.”

In addition to economic research and analysis, Schenker serves as the board chair of The Futurist Institute, also based in Austin, and is a published author involved in the writing or editing of some three dozen books.

“The platform is invaluable for professionals, providing a venue to share our stories and experiences," he says of his presence on LinkedIn. "I am delighted that my contributions have fostered dialogue, skill-building and knowledge that warrants LinkedIn recognition with this honor.”

Schenker has held a LinkedIn Top Public Speaking Voice “badge” since July 2023, and a LinkedIn Top Economics Voice badge that he received last October.

He has a LinkedIn audience that exceeds 148,000 followers while his LinkedIn Learning courses have been taken by more than 1.1 million people globally.

“The engagement on LinkedIn and in my LinkedIn Learning online courses [reveals] an immense appetite for learning and a desire to understand the economy and economics and the related impacts on business,” Schenker says. “I look forward to sharing future insights on the platform.”

Schenker also offers a LinkedIn newsletter that has more than 26,000 subscribers who read his commentaries on economics, leadership, business and finance.

“Building and advancing a career can be difficult, and I hope my insights about the economy, economics, leadership and future trends make it easier for my followers and learners," he says. "I look forward to sharing even more content, research and tips on LinkedIn in the future.”
