Jake, Connor & Crew Inc., a manufacturer of containers for the document protection and waste and recycling industries, is celebrating its 20th anniversary by moving to new manufacturing, warehousing and office facilities within its headquarters city of Kitchener, Ontario.
“By doubling our overall square footage, it allows us new expanded production and inventory space,” Patrick Connor, president of Jake, Connor & Crew, says. “We are now able to increase our production to meet the increasing demand for our product line.”
He adds, “Our new home for Jake, Connor & Crew was carefully chosen to ensure that we have maximum efficiency in our manufacturing process while also allowing more warehousing space for our bins and consoles, providing us with improved distribution to our customers as well as [to] our distribution facilities in California and the United Kingdom.”
The move also provides the company with larger offices and meeting facilities, which Connor says enables the company to accommodate the expansion of its “crew” to meet increasing sales.
Since 1995, Jake, Connor & Crew Inc. has manufactured consoles and bins specifically designed for the document protection and waste industries. The company’s product line includes the patent-pending “Retriever,” which offers high security for the shredding industry, and the “Pedigree” series of wheeled bins designed for the waste, recycling and shredding industries. The company also recently introduced its “Collar,” designed for increasing collection time by up to 80 percent, and the “eHandle” providing ergonomic benefit to drivers during the harvesting process, according to Jake, Connor & Crew.
