J & B Enterprises, Santa Clara, Calif., buys electronics technology scrap from manufacturers and recycles the metals, recovering gold, silver and platinum as well as copper, aluminum, tin and lead. The company says it can reclaim us to 99 percent of these metals.
J&B’s processing capabilities at its 22,000-square-foot facility include chemical stripping, melting, thermal oxidation and base-metal recycling. The company has been recycling semiconductor chips, printed circuit boards, microwave components, opto-electronics and other electronic products for more than 30 years.
"Companies could be losing twice by unknowingly throwing valuable materials in the dumpster and then paying someone to haul them away," says Ken Epsman, president of J&B Enterprises. "We can perform a facility survey and identify materials containing precious metals that currently may be headed for the landfill."
J&B Enterprises says it also can validate the efficiency of a company's current precious metals recycler by running a side-by-side trial. In addition, J&B can offer one-stop recycling service, consolidating the number of suppliers and contracts companies must deal with.
