Italian Event Focuses on Rubber Recycling

The Italian organization Ecomondo, in co-operation with two European organizations that represent the tire recycling industry in Europe, is presenting a new event Nov. 7-10 in Rimini, Italy.

“This is the first edition and the event is destined to become a annual event,” the organization states regarding the conference known as “Just Rubber.”

“Just Rubber seeks to present the raw materials and the products which can be made from recycled rubber and to promote their everyday use by developing the appropriate, major market outlets,” Ecomondo states in a news release. Just Rubber runs concurrently as part of the larger Ecomondo 2007 event in Rimini.

The show will include a variety of events and features, including exhibitor stands marketing events ,roundtables and debates, networking opportunities and workshops and seminars with Italian and international speakers.

Topics scheduled to be covered include: EU policies and regulations, trade figures, scientific papers, reports, EU funding and research, green procurement, Eco-labeling, new products and applications in different sectors including synthetic-turf roads and playing fields, and presentations on experiences in other European countries and the United States.

“Just Rubber’s objective is to create a business relations network to support the industry’s policy, research, and business-related development strategies,” states Ecomondo.
