ISRI’s Exhibit Hall Sold Out

Scrap convention fill up its 44,000 sq. ft. exhibitor display space.

Exhibit space at the 2008 ISRI (Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc.) Convention and Exposition is sold out, breaking records for both the amount of exhibit hall space and number of exhibitors.

The ISRI convention runs April 6-10 with the Exposition, the largest scrap recycling industry trade show and exposition, open on April 8 and 9 at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

“This is the earliest complete sell-out ISRI has ever had,” says Chuck Carr, ISRI Vice President for Member Services. “The overwhelming response by exhibitors to participate at this year’s show demonstrates that this is the industry’s must-do event of the year.”

For the fourth year in a row, ISRI has sold all available booth and equipment space despite adding space to the show floor size. The 2008 show boasts an exhibition hall with 44,345 square feet of equipment space, 20 percent larger than in 2007, and 283 exhibitor booths, 12 percent more than last year. A record 204 exhibitors will showcase their products and services, an increase of 14 percent.

Sales for exhibition space at the 2009 ISRI Convention and Exposition, being held again at Mandalay Bay, from April 26 to 30 of that year, will begin this March.

Advance registration for the 2008 ISRI Convention and Exhibition is mirroring the exhibit hall success, with early registration setting new records. Registration is available online at www.isriconvention.org (forms may also be downloaded for fax or mail-in registration).

Different discounted registration fees for ISRI members, spouses, and eligible guests are available through February 12 in some cases and through March 10 for some other price levels.

ISRI’s block of rooms at Mandalay Bay and THE Hotel are nearly sold out, according to the association, though ISRI may add additional hotel blocks in the next few days.
