The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI) will hold its annual Commodities Roundtable Forum Sept. 21-23 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, Ill.
This year’s forum will open with a special session, “U.S. Manufacturing: Facts and Fiction,” on Tues., Sept. 21, featuring a panel representing different parts of the manufacturing spectrum who will explore the short- and long-term future of U.S. manufacturing and its impact on scrap recycling. Speakers include Bill Canis, executive director of the Manufacturing Institute of the National Association of Manufacturers.
The program continues on Wednesday and Thursday with commercially focused sessions on iron and steel, copper and brass, aluminum, and electronics.
The Commodities Roundtable Forum will be preceded by ISRI’s first Tire Recycling Business Summit on Sept. 20-21, also at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare. Additional information on both programs is available at www.isri.org, or by calling (202) 737-1770.
On Weds., Sept. 22, ISRI’s Chicago Chapter will reprise its “Rumble at the Roundtable,” an evening program featuring cocktails, dinner and boxing bouts. There is an additional charge of $125 for this event.
