ISRI Puts Fight Into Roundtables

ISRI's Chicago Chapter schedules prizefights to raise scholarship funds.

“Rumble at the Roundtable,” to be sponsored by the Chicago Chapter of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI), will feature several prizefights following the Copper Roundtable Forum the evening of September 18, 2002.

Both the Roundtables and the boxing event will be held at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, Ill. The exhibition schedule currently calls for approximately eight different semi-professional boxing matches, including one female match. The event will feature “all the physical trappings of a true prize-fighting ring,” according to the ISRI Chicago Chapter.

The evening’s festivities will include cocktails and dinner. The entire net proceeds from the occasion will benefit the ISRI Chicago Chapter Scholarship Fund.

“It’s a great way for all Chicago Roundtable attendees to have some fun and do unique business entertaining,” says Arnold Fish, event chairman and president of Lake Shore Metal Trading, Evanston, Ill.

“Tickets are $100 each and are extremely limited, so everyone who wants to join us at ringside has to get in our corner right now,” adds Fish.
