The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, Inc. has announced the roster of speakers for its Ferrous Roundtable at the Commodities Roundtable Forum in Chicago, IL, September 14.
The speakers include:
John Kopfle, Midrex Technologies; Wim van Aker, Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, LLC; Peter Mathews, Black Country Metals Ltd.; and John Tulloch, IPSCO, Inc.
Moderator for the session will be Peter Kramer, The Greenfield Recycling Company, Inc.
The morning session is titled, "Global and Domestic Steel: Stronger Longer?" and will address the state of the global and domestic steel marketplace including China’s supply impact on the global market: Do steel exports pose a real or imaged threat, and what does the second half of 2006 look like for the steel industry? Raw material supply issues will also be addressed by the panelists.
Also on the program at the Commodities Roundtable Forum will be the Electronic Roundtable, "Mining the Precious Metals from Electronic Scrap: Hype or Hope?" on Wednesday afternoon. Featured on Thursday after the Ferrous Roundtable is the Copper/Brass Roundtable, "Funds and Fundamentals: Copper’s Conundrum." The forum concludes on Friday with the Aluminum Roundtable, "Funds and Fundamentals: Anxious Aluminum."
