The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI), Washington, has tapped communications consultant Chuck Carr as its new managing director of communications.
“Chuck has been brought aboard to coordinate communications with members, the media and the general public to ensure both better coverage and a clear message of the importance of scrap recycling to the nation and the world economy,” says ISRI President Robin Wiener.
Carr comes to the position with more than 20 years of experience in corporate, public, government and political communications. Previously, he has worked as a strategic consultant managing the Washington office of a small public relations firm. Prior to that, he served as a congressional campaign manager and as communications director/press secretary for two members of Congress.
