The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries has updated the 2007 Scrap Specifications Circular with revisions to three nonferrous specifications and the addition of a new specification. The Circular is available on the ISRI website at www.isri.org/specs.
ISRI’s board of directors approved recommendations from the Nonferrous Division to revise the Zorba (Shredded Nonferrous Scrap, predominantly aluminum), Ebony (Composition or Red Brass) and Eland (High Grade-Low Lead Bronze Brass Solids) specifications last month during their October governance meeting in Boston.
A new specification was also approved named Zurik (nonferrous sensor sorted scrap predominantly consisting of stainless). The new specifications will become effective on November 19, 2007.
The Circular is published annually in print and is available electronically at www.isri.org/specs. The electronic version contains the latest updates and revisions to the specifications throughout the year.
