The Northern Ohio Chapter of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) has announced the recipients of their 2010 scholarship awards.
“During these difficult economic times we are so proud to make these awards to deserving students,” says Bill Ivancic, ISRI Chapter president. “ISRI members have always worked to serve their communities, and our annual scholarship awards are an important way in which we do that.”
This year’s recipients are: Jennie Hartman, sponsored by American Baler Co.; John Lyons, sponsored by Harris Products Group; and Andrea Richard, sponsored by Muskingum Iron and Metal.
“The Northern Ohio Chapter is proud to assist these young adults as they pursue their educations,” says Matt Kripke, scholarship chairman. “The recycling industry has always thrived on the idea of remaking things. With these scholarships the ISRI community of Northern Ohio has the opportunity to assist in building something, to pay it forward if you will.”
