ISRI Begins Recruiting for 2007

The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI), based in Washington, launched its 2007 membership year Oct. 1.

ISRI reports that when it closed its 2006 records Sept. 30, ISRI membership was at 1,426 companies, including 244 new member companies.

The 2007 recruitment began Oct. 1 with the “15/12” new-member special, whereby new members joining on that day received membership through 2007 at 2006 prices. ISRI member dues are expected to increase slightly for 2007, according to the organization.

“The impressive year-over-year membership growth is a tribute to the valuable programs and services ISRI offers its members,” Frank Cozzi, ISRI chair, says in a press release issued by ISRI. “Recyclers see real value for their dollar when they join ISRI.  With the 15/12 member campaign, new members can begin receiving these important member benefits immediately.”

ISRI member services include safety programs; global expertise in scrap-related trade issues; the Recycling Industry Operating Standard (RIOS), ISRI’s industry-specific QEH&S management system; federal and state regulatory compliance programs; member publications; networking opportunities; and a government relations program.
