RTC Technologies, Inc. announced the installation of its Scrap Trakker ® system at two newly acquired Innovative Packaging Corp. Illinois sheet plant locations. The plants are located in Bedford Park and Hanover Park.
By employing Scrap Trakker, a computerized waste management solution specifically designed to help corrugated facilities fully automate the waste data collection and reporting process, IPC expects to save hundreds of thousands of dollars annually for its three plants combined.
"The tool gives us control and consistency in both the methodology of keeping track of scrap as well as being able to compare different categories of waste," said John Lingle, president of IPC. "Plus, Scrap Trakker’s Waste Roll-up service will provide us with plant-to-plant comparisons in line item detail which we’ll use to pinpoint variances, benchmark trends and identify best practices."
Scrap Trakker is a data collection and administrative software system combined with a hardware package using touch screen and barcode technologies.
