International Paper announced plans to take its Bucksport, Maine paper mill off line for around two weeks. The downtime begins Dec. 16 and run until Jan. 2.
The decision to idle the mill, which makes coated paper, is due to slow demand for its finished product.
The mill initially had planned to take a one-week shutdown on Dec. 23, but the slowdown in orders resulted in extending the shutdown.
