The scrap metal recycling business Interseroh, based in Cologne, Germany, has acquired Elvira Westarp GmbH, a scrap metal recycling facility with a single location in Ashaffenburg, Germany. Interseroh says the purchase will strengthen its coverage in the northwestern portion of Germany.
Interseroh says Elvira officially will become a part of Interseroh Sept. 1, 2011.
Joachim Wagner, an Interseroh board member, notes, “Elvira Westarp GmbH has more than 50 years of experience trading in ferrous and nonferrous metals and boasts excellent skills.”
Bernhard Westarp, the managing director for Elvira Westarp, will remain with the company and become the company’s operations officer. “My decision to continue to operate in the management of Westarp is easy. After all, the entrepreneurial philosophy fits well with Interseroh,” he says.
