The board of directors of Interseroh SE, the German holding company of Interseroh, has voted to change the company’s name to Alaba SE on June 13, 2012. Interseroh is an environmental services and raw materials trading company.
The decision to change the company’s name follows the agreement between Interseroh SE and Alba Group plc and Co. KG, its controlling organization. Interseroh says the name change will help clarify its function as an intermediate holding company within the Alba Group.
Axel Schweitzer, chairman of Interseroh SE and CEO of Alba Group, says, “The rebranding of Interseroh SE will not change our strategy of the two brands Interseroh and Alba under the umbrella of the Alba Group. Thus, the Alba-brand stands for operational disposal and recycling services, whereas the brand Interseroh stands for the organization of innovative environmental services and recycling solutions that allow our customers to concentrate on their core business.”
To continue to follow the strategy of two brands within the Alba Group, the operational companies of Alba Group’s scrap and metals recycling segment will be moved under the Alba-brand in the medium term. Interseroh Dienstleistungs GmbH and its subsidiaries will continue to operate under the name of Interseroh.
