The Germany-based company Interseroh SE has entered into exclusive negotiations with the French recycling company Paprec Recyclage. The discussions focus on establishing a cooperative agreement on the international marketing of recovered paper in connection with a sale of the operational sites of Interseroh France S.A.S to Paprec.
The negotiations are part of Interseroh’s plan to focus on its trading business and expanding its business in southern Europe.
“We want to establish the prerequisites enabling us to organically grow further in our core area of business – the international trade and marketing of raw materials,” says Axel Schweitzer, CEO Interseroh.
Interseroh France S.A.S., headquartered in Pantin, operates seven sites in France. The division focuses on collecting and processing recovered fiber. The company estimates that it expects to handle about 300,000 metric tons of fiber this year. The division reported revenues of 42 million Euros last year.
As part of the plan, Interseroh has guaranteed Paprec Group exclusive negotiation rights until this October. Both parties agreed to maintain silence on the details of negotiations.
The overall strategy of Interseroh SE is to obtain long-term, profitable growth in its segments Raw Materials Trade, Environmental Services, and Steel and Metal Recycling under the roof of the ALBA Group.
