Interseroh AG has acquired Rohstoffe Kohler GmbH, a steel and metal recycling company, with operations in Germersheim and Kehl, Germany. The acquisition has been carried out by Interseroh Hansa Recycling GmbH, Dortmund.
Interseroh says that that the deal will strengthen the company’s ferrous and nonferrous processing.
The new facilities will fit in with Interseroh’s operations in Mannheim.
Kohler handles around 60,000 metric tons of ferrous and nonferrous scrap a year.
The two locations employ 35, and include an auto reclamation yard, as well as scrap shears.
Christian Rubach, Interseroh’s executive, noted that the acquisition will boost the company’s logistics, and continues Interseroh’s to strengthen its scrap presence in various regions, and boost the company’s market share in the German scrap metal recycling business.
Last year the company processed more than five million metric tons of recyclable material including about 3.3 million tons of metal.
