Interseroh Shareholders Approve Name Change

Division will be known as Alba SE on stock exchanges.

Shareholders of Interseroh SE, the holding company of Cologne, Germany-based Interseroh, have approved a proposal to change its name to Alba SE. During the company’s 2012 general meeting, shareholders voted in favor of a proposal for Interseroh SE to be listed under the name of Alba SE on several European stock exchanges.

According to a mid-June press release, the change is being enacted to clarify the company’s status as a holding company within the Alba Group. A strategy for the two brands is described in the Alba news release this way: “The Alba brand will stand for the operational disposal and recycling services and the Interseroh brand will represent the organization’s environmental services and recycling solutions as a general contractor.”

“In order to continue following the two-brand strategy, we will gradually rebrand the operational steel and metal companies in the Alba Group and move them under the Alba brand,” says Axel Schweitzer, chairman of Interseroh SE and CEO of Alba Group. “This does not change their legal affiliation, which stays under the renamed holding company Alba SE.”
