The sponsors of the 11th International Electronics Recycling Congress (IERC 2012) are seeking submissions to be presented at its upcoming conference, Jan. 18-20, 2012, in Salzburg, Austria.
The preliminary program includes sessions on:

• More products in more markets and shorter lifetimes
• Expansion of product take-back initiatives

• Extended producer responsibility
• Best available technologies and plants for WEEE recycling
• Worldwide reports of recycling business
• How to stop illegal export
• WEEE recast and worldwide legal developments
• Global harmonization of recycling standards and laws
The congress is also offering plant tours to:
• Lighting and flat screen recycling facility
• Electronics recycling facility
• Steel mill with plastics recovery
• Scrap and waste treatment plant
• Copper smelter
• Plastics recycling plant
Anyone who is interested in presenting papers is asked to submit a proposal before July 29, 2011.
