Svein Richard Brandtzæg, chairman of the International Aluminium Institute (IAI) and CEO of Hydro, has announced the launch of a website highlighting the recycling advantages of aluminum products. Recognizing the demand from customers, consumers and policymakers around the world for up-to-date and easy to access information, the IAI has developed the site to demonstrate the economic, social and environmental benefits and the future potential of aluminum recycling.
The new Web site, http://recycling.world-aluminium.org, features interactive content, based on the IAI’s long-running “mass flow” research and extensive statistical database, as well as recycling success stories from around the world.
Commenting on the website, Brandtzæg says “The Aluminium for Future Generations website is a fantastic resource for everyone involved in the recycling process. . .and in a sustainable world, that is all of us: individuals and governments, aluminum producers and customers, waste management companies and municipalities.”
