International Absorbents Inc. has commenced construction of its new manufacturing and warehouse facility in Jesup, Ga. This is the second phase of the company's three-phase expansion plan. The new plant will be the company's first East Coast production facility.
"The new Jesup facility is an important component of our growth strategy on many levels," stated Doug Ellis, President of Absorption Corp, International Absorbents wholly-owned subsidiary. "We will more than double production capacity while building infrastructure for future growth.
The first phase for the company was the relocation to a 100,000 square foot facility in Northwest Washington. The third phase, relocation of the company's primary manufacturing line in Bellingham, WA to the new Northwest Washington plant, is planned for Spring, 2005.
International Absorbents Inc. develops, manufactures and markets products from recycled, renewable materials. The company’s products are used in a hose of applications, including retail/commercial pet bedding and litter, oil and hazardous liquid spill cleanup and control, oil/water filtration, and packaging.Latest from Recycling Today
