Intechra, an IT asset disposition company based in Ridgeland, Miss., announced that it hosted a delegation of federal government officials at its Dallas facility to discuss resolutions to issues regarding business and consumer electronic scrap.
“At Intechra, it is our job to help clients comply with the maze of regulations impacting the disposition of electronics,” says Michael Profit, Intechra’s CEO. “We are also aware of the gaps in legislation exploited by unscrupulous electronics recyclers. We welcome any objective analysis that helps frame the public debate over the appropriate level of federal regulation and oversight about the proper disposition of electronic devices.”
“We were able to provide GAO with a unique perspective of the IT asset disposition industry,” Profit adds.
