Inland Paperboard and Packaging announced that it signed a letter of intent to purchase Mack Packaging Group. The company has operations in Chicago and Mishawaka, Indiana.
Mack Packaging Group is owned by Alwin Kolb GmbH & Co. of Germany. The transaction is expected to close within a month. Mack is a designer and manufacturer of corrugated packaging and pop up displays.
Inland Paperboard and Packaging, Inc. manufactures containerboard and packaging products.
The company owns seven paper mills, 50 percent of a joint venture gypsum board facing paper mill and 82 converting facilities in the U.S., Puerto Rico and Mexico.
