Rolf Hadel, a 32-year scrap industry veteran, has announced plans to retire later this spring from the Sadoff Iron and Metal Co., based in Fond du Lac, Wis.
During his nine-year career with Sadoff, Hadel was responsible for managing ferrous trading activities with regional and national consumers. He also managed dealers and specialized foundry procurement.
“Rolf has brought a wealth of experience, savvy and long-term relationships to our business,” says Mark Lasky, CEO of Sadoff Iron and Metal Co. “More than that, he does things the right way and is a great person. We wish Rolf and his wife, Jennifer, health and happiness in his retirement.”
Originally from Duluth, Minn., Hadel began his career in the scrap industry at Azcon Corp. in 1981. He also worked for Alter Trading, Bettendorf, Iowa, and Commercial Shredding, Orlando, Fla., prior to joining Sadoff in 2004. He and his wife will be relocating to Florida upon his retirement.
