On April 19th, the Indiana Department of Environmental Management held a formal public hearing concerning an application and draft air permit for a portable hot mix asphalt manufacturing facility to initially be located in Danville.
The purpose of the IDEM hearing was to provide citizens an opportunity to submit oral and written comments about the draft air permit for the proposed facility.
For citizens who wish to see a copy of the draft permit, IDEM has placed a physical copy in the Danville Public Library and posted an electronic copy on the Web at http://www.in.gov/idem/air/permits/Air-Permits-Online/index.html.
IDEM will consider all comments before making a final decision to issue or deny the permit. Comments based on rules and laws relating to air quality and the permitting process are most likely to affect final permit decisions. When a final decision is made, IDEM will send notification to anyone who has submitted a comment or asked to receive the information.
