Independent is New Name in Paper Recycling

New paper recycling firm operated by Jucha family.

Three members of the Jucha family, George Sr., Antoinette and George Jr., have joined forces to create Independent Recycling Services LLC, a Pittsburgh-based company that will concentrate on scrap paper brokerage.

Both George Jucha Sr. and Antoinette Jucha have been involved with the paper recycling industry for more than two decades, while George Jr. brings a finance background to the company. Antoinette also served as President of the National Association of Paperstock Women from 2002 to 2004.

The company says on its Web site at www.independentrecycling.com that it will build its business around “honest weights, excellent prices and quick payment.” The company says it will provide “actual mill scale tickets for each load” and pay within 20 days of shipment.

Additionally, the Juchas say the considerable contacts they have within the paper industry will be put to good use by Independent Recycling. “Our extensive network of mills gives your material many ‘homes’ that assure you continuous movement at top prices,” the company promises on its Web site.
