INARE Holds Conference in October

The 21st International Mexican Recycling Congress and Expo, the annual meeting of INARE (Insituto Nacional de Recicladores), is scheduled for Oct. 10-11, 2013, in Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico.

According to long-time INARE board member Carlos Rovelo, last year’s conference attracted more than 400 attendees. Participants at the 2012’s conference were exposed to the new U.S./Mexico coproduction platform. Currently U.S.-Mexico trade of goods and services exceeds $500 billion.

This year’s show will include sessions on the new PEMEX (Petróleos Mexicanos) privatization efforts, electronic scrap, recycling markets, transportation and an outlook on the global recycling industry. In addition to the conference’s educational sessions, the conference will provide attendees with networking opportunities as well as an exhibit hall with products, services and technologies for the industry also are featured.

In addition to Mexico and the United States several nations will be represented at the event, including representatives from the United Arab Emirates, Canada, Spain, Germany, China and Cuba.

The event attracts importers and exporters of secondary materials, brokers, transportation service providers, collectors, processors and equipment manufacturers.

INARE is the largest nationwide Mexican trade association of recycling professionals. Its members include collectors, processors and end users of recyclables as well as importers and exporters of secondary commodities.
