In Memoriam: Skip Rouster

Scrap industry veteran dies at age 58.

Long-time scrap industry manager and executive Harold J. “Skip” Rouster has died at age 58. Rouster was an officer with Metal Management Inc., Chicago, at the time of his death.

 

Before joining Metal Management, Rouster had served as president and COO of equipment supplier Wendt Corp., as an executive with the former Recycling Industries Inc., and as vice president of operations for David J. Joseph Co., one of several positions he held while working for more than 20 years for the Cincinnati-based scrap processing firm.

 

Rouster was born in Middletown, Ohio, and graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School in Franklin, Ohio, and Muskingum College, New Concord, Ohio.

 

He is survived by his parents of Middletown; his wife, Patti, four children, nine grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters. Services were held in late July. Memorial contributions may be made to Bishop Fenwick High School or The Arthritis Foundation.
